Extrication of tanker after accident on motorway and highway; possible consequential damages after accident.
Moravcová, Pavlína ; Krajňák, Michal (referee) ; Libertín, Josef (advisor)
This diploma thesis addresses optimal technology and method for extrication and subsequent towing of crashed tank trucks. Ignorance of vehicle construction and wrongly chosen technology leads to subsequent after crash damages. Professional approach leads not only to after crash damages minimization on the vehicle, road and the surroundings, but also to convoy minimization etc. Another covered topic is tank vehicle construction (semi-trailer, trailer) because knowledge of tank construction and knowledge of transported material enable quick and safe extrication. Correct extrication method (which is also described in the thesis) can be used thanks to knowledge of crashed tank construction. Not knowing all needed information leads to after crash damages. This thesis will focus mainly on how to prevent subsequent damages.

Kaup, Aleš ; Hradil, Jaroslav (referee) ; Mika, Otakar Jiří (advisor)
Nowadays, when dangerous radioactive and chemical substances are used throughout the world in all branches of industry, it is very difficult to achieve proper treatment, handling and storage of these substances. A small error can cause an accident or even a disaster, and moreover, population, environment and property can be affected. So we have to implement handling and storage of these substances carefully.
The Reactional Capability's Ensuring of the Fire Brigade of the South Bohemian Region's Operational and Information Center during It's Endangering by Selected Types of Emergencies
DUBSKÁ, Šárka
This bachelor thesis is about situations of jeopardy of operational and information center of the Fire Brigade of the South Bohemia Region that can occur during the extraordinary events (incidents) such as floods and leak of dangerous gas. For better explanation there is small brief about characteristics of main type of dangerous gas and substance and characteristics of dispatching centre. Chosen problem is solid by the research about ability to maintain readiness of the operational and information center of the Fire Brigade of the South Bohemian Region. Two main hypotheses were verified by the research. The first hypothesis was disproven and the second was proven correct. H1: Altitude and location in the building is important in case of protection of the operational and information centre of the Fire Brigade of the South Bohemia Region. H2: Air condition with carbon filters is sufficient in the case of leak of dangerous substances. Verification of hypothesis made its part in fulfilling of goals in this thesis. The goal was to propose options for ability to maintain readiness of the operational and information center of the Fire-Brigade of the South Bohemia Region. The conclusion of the research that has been made is simple - the best way is to form a backup workplace - proper equipped. The benefit for theory is that some examples of extraordinary events - incidents - were explored and described. The functioning of the dispatching centre during those theoretical events was Explorer and described too. The benefit for practice could be found in propositions for securing of dispatching centre from the threat of poisonous gas leak and from flooding. The research that was made could be starting point that can trigger next research about other threats that can occur and jeopardize the dispatching centre workplace.
Awareness of the public of dangerous substances in cosmetic
NĚMCOVÁ, Kateřina
The title of my diploma thesis is "Awareness of the public of dangerous substances in cosmetic". It is divided into two parts - theoretical and practical. In the theoretical part, I focused on the history, general composition of cosmetic products and dangerous substances it contains. Considering the current trends of society I focused especially on decorative cosmetics. Because I have a negative experience with sunscreens, I concentrated on that issue in the last chapter of the theoretical part. The practical part is focused on the public's knowledge of dangerous substances in cosmetic products. The anonymous questionnaire was educative, because I assumed that many respondents would not inspect components contained in their cosmetic products. I made brief descriptions of the dangerous substances so respondents could get the most important information on this issue.
The activities of the local police department Horní Počernice when an extraordinary event in locally appropriate circuit
MĚCHURA, Richard
The Police of the Czech Republic is an essential component of the Integrated Emergency System together with the Fire Rescue service of the Czech Republic, fire protection units included in the regional coverage of fire protection and medical rescue service providers. These basic components of the Integrated Emergency System work together on a day-to-day basis to deal with emergencies where the rescue and disposal work of the integrated emergency system is required. Each component of the Integrated Emergency System is trained according to its competencies in fulfilling the duties in its independent activities. Police officers of the basic police units of the Czech Republic attend events reported on the emergency number 158 or 112 daily, sometimes other components of the integrated emergency system require the presence of the Police of Czech republic at the scene of their intervention. Announcements are also carried out by citizens in person directly on the basic unit of the Police of the Czech Republic. In the event of an emergency, when all the basic components of the integrated emergency system are needed, the police officers of the basic unit are also being sent out. It follows that basic unit police officers deal with events that are solely within their jurisdiction, such as offenses, criminal offenses, but also events that can not be qualified because they are not within the competence of the police, but there is the duty to investigate. In most emergencies where the Integrated Emergency System intervenes, it is the responsibility of the Czech Police to ensure and close the intervention site so that people who are not in need of the intervention are not moved at the scene of the incident and save them from any danger. Nowdays many companies use only a small amount of hazardous substances for their work. Companies are not obliged to inform the competent authorities about the use of these substances in this case, and thus only indicate the place where the dangerous substances are used. Therefore it is so important to understand the labeling of dangerous substances so we can protect life and health. The dangerous properties of these products and substances are also listed In the theoretical part, as well as marking according to several directives that can be seen today. The practical part of this thesis content the information that has been investigated in the locally relevant district of the local police department Horní Počernice. Specifically, the hazardous chemicals, agents and hazardous properties of chemical substances in the companies and budings located in the district of the local police department of Horní Počernice. The research question of this bachelor thesis is whether the officers of the local police department of Horní Počernice have information for dealing with an extraordinary event and can consequently effective solve it with other components of the integrated emergency system. In order to find out the answer to this question, a questionnaire was prepared for police officers who were employed in the local police department of Horní Počernice, where part of the questionnaire had the choice of four answers to each question and in the second part police officers had to describe the procedure for the given events in their own words. The aim was to find out if they have the knowledge to deal with emergencies that may occur and may be complicated by the properties of the dangerous chemicals and agents that are used in the local police district. The main reason is the interception of police officers in emergencies that may endanger their health but also the health of people at the scene. The conclusion of the thesis focuses on the evaluation of the research question with regard to the state of awareness of the policemen, which was found by filling in the questionnaire. In addition, a proposal has been developed to improve the information situation.

Chemical weapons and preparedness of the Integrated Rescue System
TRSKOVÁ, Veronika
This bachelor thesis deals with the Integrated Rescue System, its components and preparedness of these components for intervention in case of the attack of chemical weapons. The aim of the thesis was to find out whether the selected basic components of the Integrated Rescue System are able to respond to the danger caused by the chemical weapons attack. The thesis is divided into two parts. The first part is theoretical, general characteristics of chemical weapons are described here. Furthermore, the history of the development of chemical weapons is briefly mentioned, important milestones in this area are added, such as the first use of a chemical weapon. The next point is the description of the individual chemical warfare agents, the description includes the basic characteristics, effects on the body, and possible protection against them. Part of my thesis is devoted to IRS itself, means of individual protection and decontamination. The last chapter of the theoretical part deals with the Convention on the Prohibition of Development, Production, Stockpiling and Use of Chemical Weapons and Their Destruction. The second part, i.e. the practical part, defines the methods and objectives of the research itself and the results that are graphically processed for the sake of clarity. Subsequently, the results are described in the discussion. The goal of the thesis was to answer the research question. Are the basic components of the Integrated Rescue System ready to possible attack by chemical weapons? To ensure this information, a questionnaire survey was used to fill the basic components. A total of 54 people participated in this survey. Research has revealed that the knowledge of the chemical weapons components of the IRS is low, from which it can be concluded that the components are not sufficiently prepared to attack chemical weapons. The practical contribution of this thesis should be mainly to increase the number of exercises related to this issue and increase the theoretical preparation of the monitored components of the Integrated Rescue System.
Possible ways of contamination of water supply and analysing the security of water tanks in the Pilsen-North district.
DEJMKOVÁ, Andrea
This diploma thesis is divided into two parts, theoretical and a part where the results are revealed. In the theoretical part the thesis is mainly focused on the characteristics of the chosen field. It then goes into further detail on the separate themes of each of the problems it is concerned with which is used in its research section. These themes are infrastructure and critical infrastructure, the description of the function of water management while also explaining the terms drinking water and water tank. The thesis also discusses solutions for a possible contamination by chemical, biological and radioactive matter. Terrorism is also discussed in the theoretical part of the thesis. The chosen methods for the evaluation of the results are quantitative and qualitative analysis on the basis of the corresponding technical documentation and business databases. The review of the safety measures used on waterworks objects and of the protection of the sources of drinking water was done through field research, during which, photo documentation was obtained and which was further analysed with varied criterion. There were important findings obtained through this research and it also pointed out the different levels of protection on water tanks in water systems in the Plzeň-North area. Detailed results are at the end of this thesis. With this thesis the author wants to point out the importance of protection of waterworks, mainly the protection of drinking water when it is distributed to its users. The failure to protect this commodity in its full extent would then have far-reaching impact, different from each other only in their extent. The most feared types of said emergency situations would be contamination or the interruption of drinking water supply. The main fields affected by these situations would be the food industry, healthcare, different branches of the industry, agriculture and many other, which are the ones ensuring optimal living conditions and safety for citizens not only in the Czech republic.
